And Next up we have Aless, who is a big fan of Paramore, who I remember running online marketing campaigns for at Fox Digital.. (I often romanticise we first met via xml data)
And Alison.. who is a smartie who will go far.

MUSIC JOURNO: NEW AGE NOISE YOUTUBE INTERVIEWS Pt1
I have always been passionate about music, and it has been my delight to interview some of the under-represented young artists I've been working with in Western Sydney..
This is the first 2 of 6 interviews.. and its to help promote the new mixtape at https://icemusic.bandcamp.com/album/new-age-noise-constellation-2
Here's the first couple with a rapper that makes me laugh and inspires me all the time, Biggie Deez.. and experimental guitarist who I've performed with, Okuesha Kills.

GUIDED MEDITATION FOR TRANSCENDENTAL NIHILISM - GAYATRI MANTRA X 99
#interpersonalskills #receivingcriticism.. an obsession with washing machines led to me releasing a meditation video with some rather 'weird' music.. this is the closest I've gotten to viral.. but of course meditation is not for everybody and meditating to my music is for an even more eclectic group.

NEW VIDEOS
as part of the Feedback Program, working with clients on the Autistic spectrum, I've produced two videos for my friend, Paulo Donia. We were really lucky to work with a video synthesizer and we were inspired by a gaming look..

Club Sound Witches - FREE DOWNLOADS
If you are a fan of the Uprok Video.. the extended recording of that session is available as a free download or cassette from Melbourne label, Junk Mnemonic
Fraans De Waard from Vital Weekly says CLUB SOUND WITCHES - UPROK (CDR by Junk Mnemonic)
Australia's JM reports again, and now I learned it stands for Junk Mnemonic, which means I now also have a website address for them. Behind Club Sound Witches (nice name! Makes you hungry, right?) we find Nicola Morton & Matt Earle and I am not sure if I ever heard of them before. Like the previous releases on this label, the cover indicates an A-side and a B-side, and again it's two pieces of ten minutes. Maybe there is a conceptual edge to this, which I miss out upon? The music is a kinda of vaguely industrial, rhythmic, revolving in loops of synthesized sounds, distorted radio sounds and all of that sounds bit formless. It moves and it moves but not necessarily has heads or tails. 'Uprok (B)' seems of the two the more coherent piece, with a stricter form of beats on top and noise below the decks. Maybe a bit like Astral Social Club once sounded. A kind of demented techno music at work here and it works quite well, better than the noisier and more chaotic 'Uprik (A)'. It had a
head nod groove, which was all right. I wouldn't mind a bit more of that… (FdW)

TIME & SPACE DESTROYER - Televisions, Carriageworks, Sydney.
Screening on Friday 29th November, just after Joel Stern's Nuerovision TV show performance. I can't wait for everyone to be dis-embrained!!!! and ready to dis-empower time and space.

“Analog TV Booty to Bad Intentions’ Hemloch”
Recorded in reflection of our large screen CRT TV, Nicola is able to project her image and video onto the analog signal, which sadly does not exist anymore in Brisbane. When there is no longer analog broadcast TV you can make your own. Slo-mo booty shaking is a signifier of MTV before they went all Reality TV style – the nostalgia for analog TV and times past is balanced by the use of new broadcast mediums – VIMEO and YOUTUBE. The work being screened on community TV on some of the last days of Australian analog TV and entering the user-generated media market says a big fuck you to the major music labels and the media they controlled and owned. Welcome to post-capitalism.

BREAKDANCE THE DAWN SHOWCASE AT SOUND SUMMIT
MUSIC HAS A NEW LANGUAGE. IT IS BROKEN. breakdance the dawn. BROKEN SOUNDS WITH SUPER POWERS.
OVER 7 HOURS FROM 4PM - 11PM - eleven art-noise bands played..at 107 PROJECTS, REDFERN.
I hand-sponged (but it looks like a screen print) heaps and heaps of t-shirts with "REAL BAD MUSIC' for us to sell on tour.. to be sold for only $5, we scoured every op-shop between Brisbane and Sydney for cheap shirts. Thanks to all the people who bought one in Brisbane and Sydney!!!
Although the reviewer for MESS & NOISE, missed the showcase, he caught the panel I spoke on, and quoted me.. its a pretty incisive review http://messandnoise.com/ articles/4627081
"What a Pro- BREAKDANCE THE DAWN stall...Photo by Sarah Spencer
SUN OF THE SEVENTH SISTER played with halved ping pong balls over their eyes - for a complete psychedelic experience.
Here is one photo by Peter Blamey, of me in CLUB SOUND WITCHES
FOUR DAYS LATER.. we played at a Bastard Theatre show with my old mate, HEATSICK. Photos by Marek Rygielski
And again at the showcase in BAD INTENTIONS

Wardenburger - Review
David Keenan over at Volcanic Tongue, has reviewed Wardenburger's selftitled release out on Albert's Basement
"Warden Burger
"Warden Burger
s/t
Alberts Basement AB-42
Cassette
£8.99
Great new 90 minute album from this psychedelic/improvisatory collective from Brisbane: Warden Burger consist of Henry Mills on electronics, Skye McNicol on violin, Jule Small on vocals, Rohan Halliday on keyboard, Alex Cuffe on percussion, Nicola Morton on synth, Dylan Jeffries on guitar and Adam Park on bass. They channel the heady cultic deep-space vibe of East Bionic Symphonia but a more hands-on/basement punk style, setting out for new zones of weird melodic stasis in a way that touches on the more abstruse NNCK strategies circa A Tabu Two, with passages that consist of nothing but padding percussion and woozy electronics/strings that could almost be the Charlie Nothing big band live from the Bardo Matrix."

Nude Bike Ride is Art?
My good friend Miranda was telling me that I am actually part of an artistic cannon of nude bike riders from New York, but I can't find any other information on it. I got in THE local papers online version. Brisbane only has one daily local newspaper that you pay for. Unfortunately I was trying to promote a show at Metro Arts, but the article was all about me and hardly mentioned the show at all.
Here is some text:
AN ARTIST who staged a nude bike ride along one of Brisbane's main roads is keeping her clothes on for her latest project.
Nicola Morton of Moorooka posted a video of the stunt on YouTube in November which showed herself and another woman removing their clothes down to their underpants before they set off on the ride. Sightings of the pair sent the Queensland Police Service's Facebook page into overdrive on November 24 after the duo were seen riding along Ipswich Rd at Moorooka around 9pm.
Ms Morton said the ride was to promote a performance by a fellow artist and to raise awareness of cyclists. ''I wanted to raise public dialogue about biking,'' she said. Ms Morton and her friend were spoken to by police on the night but were released without charge. ''It was good that everything went
without a hitch and we managed to do the (Moorooka Magic) Mile and the police let us go,'' she said.
''It's also about having fun.'' Ms Morton wouldn't rule out doing something similar in future, but for now is curating an art show at Metro Arts in the city on Friday. ''It's about taking people to places where they have to delve into imaginary landscapes, being able to suspend all your judgments and walk into this separate theatre where there are ghouls and goblins,'' she said. It features a band playing on the back of a ute and a webcam surveillance installation showing live footage of the event.
''It's a general art exhibition crowd that are going to come along. I hope the general public will come along too because that's a little bit more exciting for us.''
- Jasmin Lil.
